From Tech Pier's sister blog:
With Megaupload's closure in January, many people started to worry that Pirate Bay would soon face closure. Pirate Bay fixed that. They moved from their .org domain to the .se domain which made harder to seize by the U.S. government since the .se domain is under Swedish jurisdiction. Compared to Mega Upload, Pirate Bay is doing much better. Of course, Pirate Bay is in court but the Web seems to support them. Even I am a fan.
Pirate Bay has received a lot of legal threats from U.S.-based companies such as Apple, Dreamworks, Microsoft et cetera. Their responses are merry, mocking and pretty funny to read. But to make their point clear, they state with clear seriousness that their website is based on Swedish laws and therefore they don;t have to uphold U.S. laws. Despite this, many of their servers were confiscated by police in Stockholm.
But Pirate Bay learned the consequences of this (they were offline about three days) and they converted to hosting magnet links. Now, you can download the site it's only 90 MB.
Although, the Pirate Bay is facing some serious legal trouble they are confident that they are doing well and even want to go to the Swedish Supreme Court with their trial. But Pirate Bay hasn't lost its mocking demeanor. It even lashed out at Hollywood with this cartoon:
With the course of events that happened in its nine-year-life, the Pirate Bay persevered like a cockroach. I think it's safe to say that it won't be going anywhere for a while but enjoy it while you have it.

Trayvon Martin takes a backseat to the Oscars
Trayvon Martin one of the most hottest trends on Twitter right now was killed almost a month ago but why did it take so long for the world to make a response. There were things going on particularly the Oscars but nevertheless people are waking up demanding prosecution of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who killed Martin because he was wearing a hoodie. After an investigation deemed "incompetent," due to suggested racial profiling on Zimmerman part police are investigating the investigation.

Even Anonymous is on the bandwagon. Our Twitter page has their tweets. Also Anonymous has some tweets for #Porn4Prom (sorry for the late notice). Every few seconds a person tweets demanding justice. This case has angered millions and making its way into social media.
On Wednesday, activists wearing hoodies marched on Trayvon Martin's. Tracy Martin, pictured above was also dwelling on the loss.
The increased attention this topic has been receiving might lead to Zimmerman being charged for hate crime. What do you think about this trend? Type your responses below.

uCoz CMS - Reliable Freemium Hosting
So a couple of days ago, I found a CMS (Content Management System) online host called uCoz. It based in Russia and over a million sites are based on it. I can see why though. Sure it's not Drupal or Joomla but it's still useful. There are tons of installable modules and some of their themes are bound to impress. Even if you don't you can easily edit the CSS.
